Position summary: We are seeking an experienced Asphalt (Heavy) Highway Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading all aspects of the projects, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety compliance. The PM will work closely with subcontractors, engineers, and project teams to ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. Must have experience in the efficient management of multiple projects (private and public). Must have 5+ years of asphalt (heavy) highway project management proven experience. Demonstrated capability to oversee all construction operations on designated projects ensuring optimal efficiency and performance within specified timelines and budget constraints. Must possess experience in fundamental project management tasks, encompassing scheduling, labor management, materials coordination, subcontractor oversight, change order management, cash flow monitoring, and marketing initiatives. Responsible for closely monitoring costs and yields within the designated area, remaining vigilant for any adverse changes in their relationship and promptly addressing them as needed. Required to effectively coordinate and oversee all subcontractor activities, ensuring strict adherence to job specifications as well as company policies and procedures. Demonstrated capability to systematically monitor and review all necessary daily reports, ensuring their accuracy and completeness. Required to study and maintain knowledge of local ordinances and laws related to construction activities, ensuring compliance and facilitating permit arrangements as necessary, and best practices. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and equal employment and affirmative action programs. All other related duties as assigned and not otherwise specified. Multilimb Coordination - The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while standing. It does involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion. Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Bend or Stoop: 30 Minutes Crouch: Occasionally Carry: 1 Hour Walk or Stand: Up to 10 Hours per Shift Sit: Varies Frequently lift the following: 5-10 lbs.- Up to 8 Hours 10-20 lbs.- Up to 8 Hours 20-50 lbs.- Occasionally Over 50lbs. - Occasionally Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field required. 5 years proven project management with DOT experience. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to inspect the projects and will be exposed to ongoing construction, various weather conditions fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts of vibrations. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
