Job Purpose

Project Leader for Production Engineering Business Unit responsible for New Model and large Business Plan projects.


Key Accountabilities
  • Develop the project general schedule and specified action plan for New Model and Business Plan projects.
  • Lead communications with all required entities across Production Engineering Business Unit and Global and Local Honda (HDMA, 4MOC, etc.).
  • Lead the development of Production Engineering Business Unit New Model Development proposals.
  • Lead and chair evaluations based on Technical and Management evaluation requirements.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the project so that project goals and targets can be successfully achieved.
  • Monitor Development (DO) and Plant (MMC) activities to proactively identify issues and develop countermeasure for successful achievement of goals.
  • Lead analysis of New Model (Quality, Cost, Delivery - Q,C,D) drivers and set focus areas for plant / product characteristic improvements.
  • Communicate project status to all levels of management.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other relevant degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental Engineering, Minimum of 4 year in a project leadership or relevant years of experience in Project Management or Engineering

Workstyle
  • Need to be comfortable on Plant Floor Production area, Open Office and Board Room.
  • Short to moderate periods of high workload based on needs of overlapping projects.
  • Domestic and International travel as needed. (10%)
