Our multi office firm is busy and looking for help to support our heavy workload in a long term, full time role.

Job Details

Job Details: Great opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join an engineering firm in the OC area. Ideal candidate would have a background with foundations, dams, embankments, landslides, soil-structure interaction, earth-retaining structures, excavations, and underground structures.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing geotechnical projects from concept to construction
  • Maintaining and developing client relationships
  • Providing support through training/mentorship for other geotechnical engineers
  • Preparing proposals and cost estimates for geotechnical investigations
  • Coordinating field and laboratory testing
  • Interpreting and analyzing geotechnical data to establish engineering properties of materials and foundation recommendations
  • Completing geotechnical engineering analyses including seepage, slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, and rotational stiffness

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (geotechnical emphasis preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong relationships with clients and the ability to develop or foster ongoing relationships and maintain a high level of client service (preferred)
