The Water / Wastewater Project Engineer will be responsible for designing and engineering community water, wastewater, and storm water systems.

The Wastewater Project Engineer must hold a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and engineering of water and wastewater treatment facilities, stormwater management systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure the effective execution of project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to develop project plans.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, project schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve design-related issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other project team members.
  • Participate in project meetings and present project updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the design and engineering of water/wastewater treatment facilities and stormwater management systems.
  • A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to become registered.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods as applicable to a municipal setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a safe work environment.
