Role Overview: As a Project Engineer, you'll oversee the entirety of the production process, from initial project planning and documentation to the coordination of subcontractors and communication facilitation among stakeholders. This pivotal role demands a seasoned engineer capable of establishing and achieving goals within set timelines and budget constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Management of Project Engineering Organization:
- Lead the project engineering team, ensuring alignment with client specifications, schedules, projected expenses, and quality standards.
- Report program status to senior management and clients, ensuring transparency and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Allocate appropriate resources from each department to fulfill contractual requirements.
- Personnel and Resource Management:
- Assign project tasks according to staff expertise, collaborating with the quality department to develop specifications.
- Foster relationships with subcontractors to meet cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Project Documentation and Communication:
- Accurately prepare quotes for product plans, schedules, and projected expenses, adhering to company engineering standards and quality criteria.
- Maintain open communication with management and clients, providing regular updates on project schedules and addressing any significant issues promptly.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed, sometimes for extended durations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- Proficient in design and/or manufacturing engineering, with strong problem-solving skills and coordination abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in setting and meeting aggressive cost targets.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical engineering, focusing on manufacturing technologies and materials relevant to IGT hardware production.
- Familiarity with Quality Inspection systems and adherence to ISO9001 & ISO17025 procedures.
- Proficiency in project planning software for effective project reporting and management, utilizing Gantt charts.
- Willingness to travel 20-35% of the time, including visits to suppliers in Czech, Mexico, and China. This position requires U.S. person status as per ITAR regulations.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
