PROJECT ENGINEER

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named a "Zweig Group's "Best Firms to Work For." is a consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners and other related design professionals is actively seeking to add a talented 8-10-year experienced-level Project Engineer to our Surface Transportation Team. This role will support all levels within the team while providing the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with municipalities, county highway departments, and state transportation departments across all our locations
  • Work on a variety of transportation projects including rural highways, city streets, multi-modal trails, and community festival spaces
  • Leadership opportunity available
  • Work with clients developing project ideas, funding plans, and implementation strategies
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of and experience using MicroStation, Geopak, AutoCAD, Civil3D software packages
  • Strong technical, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment while mentoring staff
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects
  • Ability to work in an environment with quick learning plus the initiative to interact with a variety of people
Preferred
  • Master's degree in advanced studies will be recognized in the evaluation process
  • Emphasis on roadway/highway geometric design, drainage, transportation planning, traffic engineering/corridor studies
  • PM background experience with FDOT
  • Previous project leadership/management experience
