Responsibilities
  • Rigorously manage key project and engineering management tools and processes, liaising, influencing and supporting team members to ensure delivery
  • Support PDP development, pilot plant design and fabrication, and ongoing front end project development; transitioning work into FEED and EPC
  • Serves as interface on assigned projects to supports proposal and estimate activities, develop and reviews specifications including design criteria, develop and monitors schedules, monitor material estimates and quantities
  • Interfaces with project disciplines/client representatives/construction, participate in equipment and material procurement activities, permitting activities and subcontracting activities
  • Coordinate project interfaces through development of inter-unit control diagrams and interface management table
  • Proposal Development
    • Work with the engineering proposal manager to support the proposal manager develop cost, schedule, and proposal write-up.
    • Engage closely with UK Engineering Manager to ensure alignment and consistency in proposals.
  • Ensures adherence to applicable regulations, codes and standards
  • Provides close interface with, and promotes the understanding of, other discipline functions
  • Collaborate in management and coordination of activities among all project functions and engineering disciplines in accordance with the established project baseline documents
  • Provide general engineering support and coordination with licensors, engineering contractors and clients.
  • Support coordination between design, procurement, material management and construction on technical and schedule requirements
  • Assist the Project Director/Project Manager (PD/PM) in developing the required documentation to communicate (client/internal) project contractual and technical issues, status and progress reports; conduct/coordinate related meeting as necessary
  • Support the UK Engineering Manager in building the template and processes for projects and engineering
  • Other related duties/functions as assigned
  • Support the commercial team in evaluation of the economics of different prospects and options (e.g. process changes)

Education and experience
  • Highest ethical and professional standards
  • Accredited Degree in an Engineering discipline - preferably electrical or mechanical
  • Professional membership (or progressing towards) of a recognised engineering body
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutions
  • Proven experience of project development and/or engineering delivery in a complex multidiscipline technical environment, preferably as a client and a contractor
  • Sound knowledge of engineering delivery and project management tools and processes
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate on all levels
  • Demonstrable ability to integrate both technical and commercial aspects of a project
  • Demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability
  • An understanding of markets associated with the Energy Transition is highly desirable (e.g. sustainable fuels, environmental credit markets, hydrogen)
  • Ability to embrace and adapt to uncertainty and change
  • High level of initiative and energy
