We are seeking a Project Engineer to join the Specialty Products Team in its offices in Fenton, MO. This role is part of a team that is responsible for providing fired boilers and auxiliary equipment. The expectation is that this will be a hybrid position depending on business needs.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Project Engineer reports directly to the Director of Specialist Products and will be the main technical lead on boiler design projects and will serve as the main technical contact for the Customer.

As the Project Engineer you will manage Supplier Subcontracts through specification, requisitioning, and fabrication in a manner that meets all the contract specifications, including N/E standard specifications, and such that equipment is delivered on time or ahead of the project scheduled delivery dates, provide technical customer support for activities from the start of the project through delivery of equipment to the job site, provide support to the Field Project Engineer as needed once equipment starts to deliver to the job site, and maintain customer relationships through quality support while minimizing costs and risk to N/E. Travel up to 15%.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We want the person selected for this role to be successful. The following qualifications are essential to be effective in this role:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

3+ years of experience reviewing contracts and project specifications and reviewing technical aspects of supplier proposals. Familiarity with boilers strongly preferred.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills, highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player.

Proficiency in English.

Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data, and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential.
