Project Engineer

Job Description

Experience: 1 year in drywall and metal framing (Required)

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating, tracking, and communicating project information and documentation. Working closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent, you will provide essential technical and administrative support to ensure the success of our construction projects. Here are some key responsibilities:

Project Startup/Preconstruction:

Assist in initializing project document logs such as RFIs, drawings, and submittals.

Review project specifications and help create schedules for required samples, shop drawings, and test reports.

Coordinate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to identify critical long-lead items and develop project procurement schedules.

Set up an engineering document file system according to company standard procedures.

Develop a deep understanding of project plans and documents.

Construction:

Collaborate with the Project Safety Manager to promote jobsite safety.

Organize, manage, and track the submittal/shop drawing review process to ensure timely approvals.

Work with the Project Manager and field supervision team to maintain a current procurement schedule.

Assist in creating clear and concise Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.

Ensure installations align with project plans and specifications.

Support the Project Manager in reviewing drawings for potential change orders.

Assist in tracking the distribution and storage of all project documents.

Aid the Superintendent in coordination efforts, including coordination meetings.
