Our client is a leading, clinical-stage gene therapy company founded in 2001 with a focus on neuromuscular, central nervous system, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases with clinical trials underway for Pompe disease, Parkinson's disease, and congestive heart failure.
The opportunity is for a Project Engineer to join the team in Research Triangle Park (Durham), NC or Morrisville NC.

The Project Engineer will assist in the management of capital projects and day-to-day operation of the facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and delivery of projects, conducting project team meetings and recording meeting minutes.
  • Participate in raising concerns and pursuing resolutions during project planning, implementation, and delivery of assigned projects.
  • Attend weekly stand-up team meetings and update team on status of individual action items.
  • Support the implementation of all key project processes and tools to support project delivery and monitor progress, providing updates and recommendations to the internal engineering team.
  • Manage and maintain timely completion of service ticket requests from all internal users.
  • Coordinate with the internal customer on status updates of complex issues that develop into projects from work orders.
  • Collaborate with document control department to log all associated documentation for all completed services across a wide range of vendor services.
  • Work with engineering team to do daily site walk, functional check and maintain all major systems that are critical to our daily operations.
  • Assist with Rees Scientific lab monitoring system as needed, troubleshoot/diagnose minor equipment problems.
  • Work with EHS team to implement safety initiatives to ensure site compliance.
  • Assist with equipment and lab setup within various labs across the organization.
About you:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree a plus but not required if experience is substantial.
  • 5-10 years' experience working in a Project Engineering role.
  • Background in mechanical or electrical engineering a plus.
  • Prior pharma, laboratory, or facilities experience.
  • Strong team player.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Results driven, self-motivated, and resourceful with excellent client relationship skills.
