Project Controls Manager

Overview Job Title: Project Controls Manager Location: Mesa / Apache Junction, Arizona Job Summary: Project Controls Manager will work under the Director of Project Controls to manage and oversee the project controls for construction projects. Establishes controls and operating policies that identify, monitor, and mitigate risk factors that could impact the success of a project. Additionally, Project Controls Manger will analyze construction project data to aid in the overall goals of the company by tracking the budget, conducting profitability analysis, and reporting outcome data. Duties and Responsibilities: Visualize, fulfill, and implement the vision and core values. Identify and resolve risks and project financial discrepancies or variances. Assist in developing processes and procedures for project controls assigned programs/projects. Analyze accuracy of month end project reporting. Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current estimate status against an established baseline schedule. Oversee new project setup and project closings processes. Analyze financial reports/forecasts and fit them to known trends. Create data analytics to determine if projects are staying within their intended scope. Oversee timetables for project deadlines. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in construction management, accounting, finance, or other associated degree. At least 5 years of relevant experience. Detailed knowledge of spreadsheets, power queries, power BI and smartsheets (a plus.) Strong knowledge of construction process and scheduling. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Individual Development (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): Detail oriented and analytical skills a must. Ability to effectively pull and assess data. Work independently as well as in a large group. Ability to work towards and reach deadlines.
