In this role, you will need to be a motivated Project Manager with a positive attitude to lead architectural teams and multi-disciplined design efforts. You will be working on projects for national and statewide public-facing governmental agencies seeking our best ideas to improve the public realm; in this connection, you will be challenged to produce high quality work in a fast-paced and intellectually engaging environment. As Project Manager, you will have the following responsibilities: Client first focus with the aim of deepening our existing relationships. Serve as primary contact with client. Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Manage project budgets, effort and report on project performance. Lead multidiscipline projects and coordinate with design, engineering, and construction management teams Oversee quality management of projects, performing technical and quality reviews Research and become familiar with client requirements including programs, guidelines, and standards. Perform comprehensive code and product research. Lead projects and project teams from initial survey, through design and construction. Oversee the development of technical details including coordination with engineering disciplines. Supervise preparation of project specifications. Supervise the review shop drawings and construction progress. Lead and/or assist with the preparation of proposals responding to RFQ's, RFP's and other solicitations. Participate in professional or community organizations Minimum Qualifications Have obtained a Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelors or Masters). Licensed Architect is preferred. Minimum of 10-years' experience as an Architectural Project Manager. Familiarity with software such as Revit Architecture, BlueBeam, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. Strong management skills to ensure client's requirements and deadlines are met by all project team members. Effective writer, communicator, detail-oriented designer. Working knowledge of building materials and building codes or standards is required, including current International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, and LEED. Must be able to work effectively in team situations for multiple projects and independently on assigned tasks. Able to work collaboratively with staff and clients on multiple projects. Willing to mentor and lead younger and emerging professional staff. Desired Experience and Qualifications: Familiarity with building and project types such as transit and rail, transportation, and industrial. Work experience with clients such as state DOT, state Bureau of Public Transportation, Amtrak, and NJ Transit is preferred. In depth knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, DOTAS, and related standards Familiarity with FRA regulations.
