We are looking for a Project Analyst. As a vital member of the team, the Project Analyst plays a crucial role in achieving project goals as set by the Divisional Portfolio Manager. This role is immersed in the unique corporate procedures and tools designed for managing capital projects, which are guided by strict funding and financial oversight, including yearly audits. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager and industry experts, the Project Analyst ensures adherence to these corporate processes, while also incorporating leading project management practices, such as those outlined in the PMI PMBOK guidelines.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Help create detailed work breakdown structures, identify critical paths, and outline project phases.

Conduct project close-out activities, including collecting and analyzing feedback and lessons learned.

Understand project scope, deliverables, milestones, and tasks.

Support Project and Program Managers in achieving project objectives.

Assist in project proposal reviews and planning to outline project timelines and methodologies.

Generate tailored status reports for Project Leadership Teams.

Follow established standards for project reporting and documentation.

Collaborate with Project Managers to clarify project plans, duties, responsibilities, and authority boundaries.

Offer problem-solving and advisory support to Project Managers.

Manage change requests for project baselines in accordance with standard protocols.

Facilitate easy access to project information for team members and clients.

Engage with PLTs and divisional leaders to align on business goals and information requirements.

Ensure the quality of Project Analyst deliverables, including financial and variance analyses.

Maintain regular communication with key clients to align solutions with their expectations and share valuable insights.

QUALIFICATIONS

An MBA or Engineering Degree is preferred.

PMP certification is an advantage.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a project management setting with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Minimum 5 years of experience with MS Project / MS Project Server (2013 or newer).

Minimum 5 years of experience with advanced MS Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within diverse teams.

A clear understanding of Capital vs. Expense budgeting and costs.

A strong background in managing large-scale IT projects is preferred, including hardware and/or software projects lasting over 6 months with budgets exceeding $1M.

At least 1 year of experience with procurement processes, competitive bidding, RFIs/RFPs, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
