Job Description


Select Water is looking for a Project Analyst to join our Infrastructure Team. The Analyst will utilize their knowledge of systems to assist in the data collection and analysis in developing value add reporting metrics as required by management including project cost tracking, spend projections, asset utilizations, and trend graphs for key indicators. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.


The essential job functions include, but are not limited to

  • Responsible for the project portfolio including the intake, prioritization, and monitoring of projects across various capital project.
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting processes to streamline data collection and analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular quality checks and validation procedures within Select's ERP software.
  • Implement and maintain portfolio management processes, tools, and frameworks to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Conduct regular portfolio analysis to assess project performance, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement or optimization.
  • Collaborate with project managers, finance, and business stakeholders to gather data for accurate financial analysis, track project progress, and update portfolio status reports to facilitate informed decision-making that ensure the successful delivery of projects within constraints and alignment with business objectives.
  • Evaluate the fiscal impact of projects within the portfolio, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculation, and budget tracking where necessary to support decision making.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and sensitivity analyses when necessary to identify potential financial impacts and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to provide financial expertise and support project planning, execution, and closure activities.
  • Demonstrate excellent business acumen in communications, behavior, dependability, and teamwork.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree will consider four (4) years of relevant job-related experience for non-degree candidate.
  • High level of knowledge and proficiency with Excel.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
  • Proficient in Word, Outlook, and other MS software.
  • Must have the ability to work well with people, be a team player.
  • Must be a self-starter and detail oriented.
  • Must possess good reasoning, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • This position works inside a climate-controlled environment in the corporate.
  • The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
  • Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.

  • Manual dexterity to operate specialized equipment.
  • Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
