Project Accountant

OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
- The Project Accountant will import invoices from TimberScan or similar software, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- The Project Accountant will complete billing invoices for multiple contract types, including lump sum, time and materials, and cost-plus contracts, in accordance with contract terms and project progress.
- The Project Accountant will Clarify and resolve questionable invoices or discrepancies with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cost reports, profit and loss statements, and cash flow projections.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PROJECT ACCOUNTANT:
- 1 year of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices is a plus.
