Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Job Description: As a Project Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial management of our client's real estate development projects. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate tracking of project expenses, timely reporting, and adherence to financial best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project budgets, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Conduct regular audits of project expenses to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records of project financial transactions and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bids, and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and contractual agreements.
  • Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
