Competencies: The potential employee must have the ability to demonstrate knowledge of wellness and recovery principles; psychotropic medications and uses; harm reduction practices including Medication Assisted Treatments (MAT) and safe use practices; Person Centered Approach to services; Understanding of co-Occurring populations; Knowledge of evidenced-based practices with population; Case Management; Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and Internet applications; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload; Well-developed clinical skills; Ability to understand Medicaid regulations and billing, productivity benchmarks, reporting formats for date; Flexibility; Ability to communicate effectively with referral sources, providers, staff, community agencies, and children and families; Understanding of principles of quality assurance/performance improvement; Assuring training needs and requirements of staff are met, including assuring annual performance evaluations; Trauma-informed; Knowledgeable about integration of behavioral and physical healthcare. Responsibilities: Provide programmatic and staff oversight of Addictions-licensed Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs, including assigning staff to shifts, maintaining strong working relationship with external providers, community resources and referral sources; Develop and expand Substance Use Counseling Program in the community and within grant programs; Provides individual, family and group counseling to clients at an IOP and OP level of care based on evidenced-based practice; Work with nursing and prescriber staff to ensure Medication Assisted Treatments (MAT), safety planning and harm reduction practices are embedded in clinical programming; Conducts assessments through New Jersey intake system including a comprehensive assessment that identifies the individualized strengths, barriers and needs of the person served, as needed; Responsible for staffing of all programs to ensure appropriate level of care and services are being provided; Responsible for the clinical records of all consumers served including timely treatment plans, progress notes all assessments and discharge planning. Clinical records are expected to meet Agency, regulatory and accreditation standards as well funding source requirements; Ensures physical plant meets regulatory standards and Agency expectations; Recruiting, training, and developing a highly motivated and effective team; Provides guidance, leadership and coaching to employees and ensures timely feedback including performance appraisals; Conducts team meetings per agency standards; Conducts individual supervisions per agency and licensing standards; Oversight of quality assurance and performance improvement activities related to contracting and agency requirements; Ensure programs are meeting productivity, Level of Service (LOS) and revenue targets; Ensure programs are providing services that meet contractual requirements for grant programs; Participate in committee's and attend all meetings as appointed internally and in the community; Manage a small caseload of consumers Other duties as assigned. Philosophy Qualifications: Master's Degree in a social work or related field Five (5) years post degree experience in mental health and addictions setting preferred Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred. Licensed in the State of NJ : LCADC/LCSW/LPC CCS preferred Programs funded through SAMHSA must follow federal guidelines for a drug free workplace.
