Overview The Program Representative supports the US/UK Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) Programs, including COLUMBIA SWS Construction, by providing oversight, tracking, and reporting to management and Government of all SWS Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and SWS Special Property (SP), including calibration and maintenance scheduling where applicable. The Program Representative is expected to know, review, and comply with company policies and procedures and assist warehouse personnel in resolving questions regarding subject procedures. The selected candidate will also evaluate current processes and lead or support process improvement initiatives to reduce handling and warehouse cost while improving customer service. Responsibilities include: Analyze warehouse Material Move Transfer (MMT) requirements supporting sub-contract ship out Troubleshoot warehouse issue and receipt problems Support disposition of excess material Interface with Management, Planners, SUPSHIP, SSP, Navy suppliers, and Electric Boat vendors Manage rejected material Coordinate with warehouse personnel to enable tracking and availability of SWS GFE and SWS SP Create and manage equipment calibration and maintenance schedules Support audits of all SWS GFE and SP material Assist with audit corrective actions Support periodic reviews/updates of relevant Department Instructions This position may require work to be performed OUTSIDE at various times This position is located at the Groton, CT facility. Regular travel to the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI may be required (1-2 days/week on average), and occasional travel to the Shaw's Cove, New London facility will be required. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma 2 years of directly related experience in the shipping, material control, and/or transportation field Able to handle/lift heavy items within safety guidelines Capable of operating and understanding hand held computer devices used in daily material control activities Proficiency in MS Word and Excel Competent in applications for Manufacturing Resources Planning (MRP), Electronic Desktop (EWP), and Inventory Tracking System (ITS); candidates must have an understanding of MRP and inventory tracking system (ITS) along with the ability to respect and maintain precise inventory accuracy Flexible and willing to work in all areas of material control and warehousing Internal candidate must be from organizations outside of Operations (Casciano/Gabriel) Preferred: 3+ years of related experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management Skills Has a strong commitment to safety Makes timely, accurate decisions Works independently Is well-organized and detail-oriented Has strong verbal and written communication skills Physical Qualifications Climbing, Crawling, Kneeling, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting Environmental Attributes Cold, Dry, Hot, Noise, Outside, Wet
