Program Manager with Security Clearance

We are seeking a Program Manager with an engineering background and strong project management skills in support of the Technology Acquisition and Program Management (TAPM) department of the US Postal Service's Engineering organization.
Essential Functions: Management of engineering projects throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Management of technology evaluation and acquisition projects.
Vendor management (hardware and software).
Design, develop, and test aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Education and Experience: 5-8 years of engineering management experience in the field or in a related area.
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Project Management course or certification (PMP preferred)
Additional Requirements: Candidate must be able to sit, stand and work at a computer for prolonged periods Strong mathematical and analytical skills Ability to travel as needed (less than 10%) and work mostly Monday to Friday from 8am - 5pm on occasion weekend hours may be required Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test
