Required Education:


• Bachelor's degree


Preferred Education:


• Master's degree preferred


Skills Required:


• Public Art Management


• Familiarity with government processes and public meeting requirements


• Microsoft Office; specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


• Café and Adobe PDF


• Managing contracts and commissions


The Program Manager for the public art program will report to the Executive Director and work with Agency Partners to manage public art solicitation, panels, public meetings and contracting.


Program Manager Responsibilities:


Managing art selection panels:


• Identifying panelists


• Setting up and posting public meetings


• Providing direction


• Taking meeting notes


• Scheduling meetings


• Managing all materials associated with the meetings.


Posting and managing public art calls:


• Working with panelist the program manager will write all public art calls in accordance with the direction of the panels


• Post the calls


• Engage with artists responding to calls


• Organize all submitted materials


• Do eligibility checks


• Communicate with artists and panels regarding status of said calls


Managing interagency clients:


• Coordinating directly with the interagency representatives responsible for the project


Managing artists' contracts and commissions on the projects assigned to this manager.


Additionally, the program manager will be required to:


• Meet regularly with the Executive Director to provide updates on the work.


• Interact with the Communications Director to post calls, agendas, and meeting minutes.
