Amentum is seeking a Program Manager to manage multiple Navy programs. The position is located at Amentum's Norfolk, VA office. The PM will oversee programs providing multidisciplinary engineering analysis and support in the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of diverse systems. This position will directly support the maintenance of the current base and development and implementation of new business strategies. Duties and Responsibilities Primary responsibility for all aspects of contract execution; be responsive to and coordinate closely with the United States Government to ensure effective contract management Leverage opportunities for new business development and seek to expand within the current customer base Responsible for profit/loss, program budgets and costs, program funding, and program financial reporting improving the cost-effectiveness of the program(s) Develop procedures to increase performance by implementing sound quality management processes Monitor program progress against the contract and organizational goals and objectives, and ensures they are consistently and adequately met Manage Program Management Office (PMO) consisting of 25+ personnel with multiple direct reports Provide operational oversight Serve as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and participates in weekly COR meetings Drive customer satisfaction with on-time delivery, exceptional performance, and 100% accountability Address contractual and technical programmatic issues Attend customer meetings to discuss program and contractual issues Provide accurate and timely reports, program management reviews, weekly meetings, maintenance of schedules, and technical documentation, as well as deliver exceptional performance while maintaining positive customer relations Assist in the planning, control, and direction of staff and customers support personnel for one or more contracts Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 10 years as a PM in the public government contracting sector or as a Technical Branch Manager in Government service, or a high school diploma and 18 years as a PM in the public government contracting sector or Technical Branch Manager in Government service 10 years of experience in the management of technical projects involving US Navy surface or subsurface ships and equipment Must possess organizational skills, technical management skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work Self-motivated, possess analytical skills and customer oriented Effective communication, both verbal and written Ability to work within a team structure Familiarity with computer hardware and software; proficiency in MS Office Suite Ability to obtain a Secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance Ability to travel as needed Preferred Experience: 8 years of full-time experience in the supervision of technical personnel engaged in work involving US Navy Ships' HM&E systems and equipment Management and supervision of 25+ personnel Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
