MSSU is currently seeking candidates for an Anatomy and Physiology position in the Department of Biology and Environmental Health starting August 2023 in Joplin, Missouri. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses in anatomy and physiology for majors and non-majors. Experience with cadaveric dissection is preferred, but not required. Additional courses may be considered dependent upon credentials. With our on-campus cadaver lab and our collaboration with the KCU-Joplin Medical School, opportunities for research/scholarly work are available. The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, scholarly activity, and advising at the undergraduate level. A Masters or Ph.D. in biology, anatomy, physiology, or a related field is preferred; however, candidates who are ABD will be considered. Candidates with a Ph.D. will be considered for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, and candidates with a Masters degree will be considered for a non-tenure track Master Instructor position.
