Who You AreThe Part-Time Professional Tester prepares, administers, monitors, and provides security for various standardized and academic exams in a high-volume testing center. Provides pre-requisite waivers and placement waivers for current and prospective students. Part-time hours and schedule are somewhat variable per semester and cannot exceed 28 hours per week. This position is for 15-20 hours per week. Please note: This is an on-campus position. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment.SALARY: $19.23/part-time hourly BENEFITS: Variable hour employees will have their hours measured on an annual basis to determine eligibility to enroll in medical health insurance only for the following benefit period. (See: Instructor & Variable Hour Employee Benefit Information). Primary Duties Administers placement exams to current and prospective students. Coordinates and proctors faculty exams, standardized exams, and exams for other institutions.Conducts periodic outreach to students who need to complete placement testing.Process new applicant placement test intake form, which includes overrides from placement testing into the SOATEST screen of Banner. Grants pre-requisite waivers through processing preregistration forms and transcripts from regionally accredited colleges and universities. Provides and maintains comfortable testing conditions. Oversees test registration and collects fees for proctored exams and retests. Returns standardized exams to the appropriate vendor. Ensure all testing is administered in a professional manner. Maintains knowledge of adaptive software for accommodation testing. Maintains and secures testing materials and monitors students while testing. Maintains all signage, files, binders, and forms for testing. Verifies identification of testers. Enters data and information into computer-based programs and runs applicable reports for Coordinator. Monitors supplies needed for the Testing Center and recommends purchases, printing, or other requisitions. Answers telephone and email. Monitors operations and condition of equipment and recommends needed repairs/maintenance to Coordinator. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE: Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited college/university.Welcoming. Respectful. Inclusive. Together, we are FRCC.
