Production supervisors are responsible for supervising and coordinating their team throughout the concrete beam manufacturing process, conducting employee training, improving efficiencies and maintaining high quality levels. The Production Supervisor will work closely with the Plant Manager in the planning and communication of daily plant activities.
Duties:
Conduct meetings with floor personnel to ensure work is properly delegated and deadlines are met.
Maintain the ability to prioritize projects and ensure they remain on schedule.
Plan and assign work within the Manufacturing Facility using labor, equipment, material, schedule and
layout to produce product at minimum cost consistent with acceptable quality standards.
Provide effective associate relations within the team by ensuring practices are fair, consistent and follow
the rules and regulations set forth by the company.
Ensure safe working conditions and good housekeeping is maintained while meeting quality and cost
requirements. Train and engage associates in improving safety practices.
Interpret and enforce company policies, rules and safety regulations.
Recommend and initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, terminations, pay increases,
counseling and disciplinary measures.
Identify and implement productivity improvements in their assigned area.
Train associates to perform multiple standardized work combinations to meet changing demands and
maintain processes at the desired productivity levels.
Assess associate performance, perform coaching and conduct performance reviews to maximize associate potential.
