Duties Provide support to the Maintenance and Demil Division to ensure that the proper type and amount of assets, parts, and materials are available on a timely basis. Assist with researching procurement information, utilizing experience to determine the kind and quantities of assets, parts, and materials to be maintained on-hand. Review job orders, related instructions, and drawings received in a production area to determine materials needed to accomplish the work outlined. Itemizes list of materials needed, initiates requests for material procurement, and ensures that delivery is coordinated with work schedules. Follow progress of work and assists other planners and supervisors in eliminating backlogs and revising material requirements lists and completion dates. Control the flow of materials to and from various manufacturing, repair, or process buildings. Review bill of materials and publications to determine materials needed to accomplish the planned operations. Maintains various data bases within Maintenance and Demil Divisions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Operates on a 7-day, 24 hours, 3 shift basis, with employees subject to rotation to all shifts and weekends. This position has a primary assignment to the first shift. This position may be required to Travel for Duty (TDY) occasionally. This position requires the incumbent to meet the requirements of AMC-R 350-4, Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations. This position requires the incumbent to mee the requirements of DA PAM 385-64, Ammunition and Explosives Safety Standards within one year of employment. This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program governed by AR 600-85, The Army Substance Abuse Program. Incumbent is subject to random drug testing. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019, Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical under the Department of the Army Drug Free Federal Workplace Program. Must complete and pass a pre-employment and appropriate annual Medical Examination. This position is subject to the Lautenberg amendment to the gun control act of 1968 which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition. Civilian personnel of the Department of the Defense are not exempt from this provision. Therefore, as a condition of employment, selectee will be required to sign a form acknowledging understanding of this provision. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gun-Ammo Access ID.
