Nesco is seeking a Direct Hire Production Planner for a local Milford Company.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily production requirements across all levels of the organization to ensure timely order shipments.
  • Collaborate with management to meet production deadlines and schedules.
  • Create and maintain daily schedules for production lines to achieve sales goals.
  • Attend production planning meetings to communicate expectations and address challenges.
  • Update customer service on order availability and handle order expediting or rescheduling.
  • Assist in cycle counting of physical inventory for assigned production lines.
  • Facilitate intercompany transfers and corresponding documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between Customer Service, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production departments.
  • Convert and release production orders in ERP system to meet ship dates and inventory goals.
  • Maintain accuracy of the ERP scheduling tracker system.
  • Optimize production efficiency through sequencing of production orders.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience with Netsuite.
  • Technical or manufacturing training preferred.
  • 2-3 years of manufacturing experience with production planning background.
  • Preference for candidates with group leader or supervisory experience.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Effective communication and teambuilding skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following guidelines.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, demanding environment with inflexible deadlines.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in record keeping, label making, inventory management, and form filing.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. easily.
