Production Operators

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $24.39 Conagra is looking forward to welcome new team members to fill out multiple roles in the production team. A successful candidate should be self-directed, team-oriented individual who takes pride and ownership in his/her work and is willing to accept total responsibility for the performance of the packaging operation on his/her shift. An individual must possess good analytical skills and be able to demonstrate their ability to produce quality product at levels that will allow the plant to meet or exceed its goals and objectives. THE ROLES RANGE FROM: Seamer Operators Cooker/ Cooler Attendant Cook Operators Kister Machine Operators Krone Machine Operators Palletizer Machine Operators Douglas Machine Operators To perform these jobs successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Communication - Good written and oral communication skills. Flexibility and adaptability - The operation is a 24/7, 3 shift. Candidates must be able to work any shift based on seniority as union facility. Must be able to work overtime including weekends. SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED preferred. Food industry experience preferred. Computer controls (screens, keyboard) skills. Math and record keeping skills. Must possess a solid mechanical aptitude combined with technical training and/or the equivalent in manufacturing experience (preferably in food manufacturing). Demonstrate creative troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal. Candidate must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work any shift. Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required. Requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. These include: Constant Standing, walking, and lifting. Frequent Bending, Stooping, Squatting, Pushing and Pulling. Occasional Ladder climbing. Periodic lifting of up to 50lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Some positions will require working in very hot and humid conditions when dealing with products coming out of the steam peelers and will require wearing protective gloves. Most positions are located in areas with loud noise and will require the employee to wear protective ear plugs. Other conditions include wet floors, occasional strong odors from peppers and occasional fumes from cleaning chemicals. Must be able to work any shift. Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required.
