Saint-Gobain's Portage, Wisconsin manufacturing team manufactures silicone medical components and tubing used in life-saving medical devices such as IV drug delivery sets, diabetes management, Covid diagnostics and ventilators as well as components for procedures such as eye surgeries. Other benefits include 401(k) with company match, and a pension plan, vacation and sick time. the PC1 Gland Cell Operator safely produces quality products per documented procedures. In addition, assist engineering and quality in day-to-day operations of gland molding machines including quality issues, plate cleaning, preventative mold maintenance, and press cleaning at work order changes. Position will be cross-trained with the "Part Quality Focus" and must be able to effectively communicate to operators and technical personnel. Responsibilities: Safe and efficient operation of molding equipment by accurately following documented procedures while keeping the area clean and up to 5S standards Effectively communicate problems to QC and other technical resources to ensure quality parts are made Follow good documentation practices including filling out forms for product traceability Accurate recording of documentation Clean molds and presses Remove and set-up gland tools in press Required Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Qualifications and Physical Demands: Strong team player Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to push, pull and lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis Ability to stand, walk, bend, push and pull objects (weighing up to 40 lbs.) for 8-12 hours during your shift Additional Description In addition, PC1 Operators are eligible to receive a $1.00 press differential added to base hourly rate.
