Including but not limited to operating all plant equipment; performing all tasks in a safe manner; maintaining equipment as required and maintaining an organized workplace. This is considered a safety sensitive position therefore will be subject to random drug testing as required. This will start as a temporary hire with the opportunity to move to a fulltime position Responsibilities Blending and Casting Operates mobile equipment - crane / forklift for heavy lifting over 50 pounds. Lifting of 50 lb boxes, buckets and bags of material Loading bulk sacks in hoppers using forklift. Operates power washer Adds the proper additives to batches Use Minteq Formula cards to make material blends Packs finished goods Warehouses finished goods Unloads inbound trucks Loads outbound trucks Maintains the quality of the product Performs all SPC functions Maintains equipment as required Maintains records related to the production, warehousing, and shipping functions, Must perform all functions in a safe manner General cleanup of work areas Maintains an organized workplace Job duties specific to Casting Disassemble steel casting molds using impact gun Re-assemble steel casting molds using impact gun Puts 20 lb vibrators on steel casting molds for casting Other Duties & Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Operational Excellent / Lean Processes: Actively participates in the implementation of -continuous improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem Solving. Attends OE training as it is deployed by the OE team. Suggestions - meet requirement of 24 per year. Gemba walk done daily. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Strong mechanical aptitude, mobile equipment and computer experience desirable. Lean Manufacturing experience also desirable. Communication, interpersonal, adaptability, ability to learn quickly, initiative, integrity, customer and quality focus, judgment/problem-solving, safety awareness. Strong communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Working Conditions:Repetitive Lifting of 50 lb bags of material, must be able to withstand the physical pressures of constant standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, sitting, extremes of hot and cold, as well as carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling heavy objects. Must be able to handle a high level of stress. Required to make quality and processing decisions and balance multiple priorities successful. May require working rotating shifts, emergency call outs, and overtime. Safety Equipment: Safety equipment required while performing the duties of this job include but not limited to an ANSI approved hardhat and safety glasses, safety shoes/boots with steel toe protection. Also may be required to wear goggles, cotton or high impact gloves, work vest, face mask, respirator, chemical/Neoprene Gloves, Chemical Apron, Hearing Protection, and Fall Protection device. Safety Training: Employee should maintain his safety training by a qualified individual or assigned virtual training. Additional refresher safety training will be required as management deems appropriate or as dictated by MSHA/OSHA regulations EOE INDLP1
