Position Summary: We are seeking a Production Operator in our Newark, Delaware facility for our weekend shift. This role is a hands-on production position in fast-paced, high volume manufacturing cell. Key responsibilities include pouring molds, de-molding products, cleaning and assembling molds, assisting with the layup and breakdown of furnace loads, sand blasting and preparing product for shipment. This is a full-time position that alternates weekly between 3x12 (Friday - Sunday, 5 am - 5pm) and 4x12 (Thursday - Sunday, 5am - 5pm) schedules. Responsibilities/Duties: Correctly identify and build molds according to casting schedule Assist in building loads for carbonization kilns Assist in breaking down carbonization kiln loads Clean infiltrated product, using the grit-blasting machines, per procedure Maintain grit-blasting machines with basic preventive and routine maintenance (daily) Follow standard work procedures and detailed instruction Prioritize in a multi-task work cell Keep accurate written documentation Maintain clean, safe and organized work environment Assist in preparing and breaking down of furnace loads All other duties, as assigned Qualifications/Other Requirements: Work effectively with minimal supervision. Able to get along well with others. Basic proficiency in data entry Good communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to keep accurate records. Physical Requirements: Able to frequently lift/push/pull objects that are 50 pounds (or heavier with assistance) repeatedly. Able to sit, stand, bend, squat, and walk about the facility Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. EHS standards.
