You'll train in several functional areas within the manufacturing environment so you can effectively provide support to our production teams. Since safety is a top priority at Purina, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring that our equipment and machinery remain in top-notch condition. Your ability to acclimate and solve problems quickly will be critically important, as unforeseen equipment issues may arise throughout the normal operation day. You'll have the opportunity to see our operations through the different shifts, working with experts in each of the different areas within manufacturing. Safely operate production equipment, including fork truck, packing lines and processing equipment. Produce quality products and deliver products on time at the specified rates. Perform quality checks that meet product specifications. Perform proper Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures. Perform designated mechanical work on equipment to make operation run at efficient and timely pace. Perform sanitation duties and material handling. Support the factory in continuous improvement initiatives.
