Job Summary:
The Production Operator III at Mate Precision Technologies performs departmental urethane production, set-up and operation of the manual lathe and mill machines in the urethane area, set-up and operation of the CNC punch press, hole-popping, black oxide maintenance, and various other departmental operations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:- Precisely measure and mix chemicals used for several types of molded urethane parts produced at Mate to manufacturing specifications.
- Set up and operate ovens, manual lathes, and mill machines to complete urethane parts.
- Help design and/or improve the design of molds and methods of pouring and curing urethane products.
- Set up and operate CNC punch press (Euromac) machines.
- Perform various manual tasks, including loading and unloading thru-feed centerless grinders, and other duties as assigned by the foreman/manager.
- Inspect parts for conformance to specifications.
- Aid in maintaining an accurate inventory through correct and precise recording of component usage.
- Clean and treat parts or assemblies with rust preventative.
- Participate in establishing quality standards and process documentation for the area.
- Reports any machine problems or breakdowns to the foreman and plant engineering department.
- Actively participate in lean activities, 6S, Kaizen events, and other improvement projects and teams.
- Act as the subject matter expert in urethane processes, including training others.
- Wear proper PPE, including a hood, when working with urethane.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- One to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal, is required.
- Competency in operating and performing complex manual equipment and basic inspection devices is required.
- Experience working with an ERP system (such as Oracle and/or Factivity) is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as SDS sheets, work instructions, and manuals related to the maintenance and operation of various equipment is required.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:- Frequent standing, reaching, and walking.
- Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and some chemicals is common.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Pay, Work Schedule, & Benefits:
- Work Hours/Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30 am-3:00 pm
- Pay Range: $25.48 - $28.20/hour
