Job Title: Production Operator (1st/2nd Shift) Location: Grand Rapids, MI, US, 49525 Job Function: Manufacturing Employment Type: Hourly Summary: As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in manufacturing quality products safely. This position involves assembling and/or fitting parts to create complete units or subassemblies at a bench or conveyor line. You may use simple hand tools, power tools, or special assembly tools as needed. Responsibilities: + Set up and operate machines according to production guidelines. + Load and unload machines, potentially with the assistance of automation or ergonomic aids. + Provide relief for fellow operators during breaks or as needed. + Operate manual material handling equipment to restock production areas with raw materials or purchased parts. + Move wheeled carts, racks, or bins containing work-in-progress to adjacent production areas. + Inspect product quality to ensure adherence to standards. + Maintain cleanliness in the work area. + Perform other duties as assigned based on plant needs. Required Skills: + Ability to frequently lift up to 45 lbs. + Ability to bend, reach, or twist frequently. + Ability to lift and transfer items weighing up to 30 lbs at waist height. + Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods. + Must pass a drug and alcohol screening (THC friendly position). Shifts: + 1st shift: 5:30 am - 4:00 pm + 2nd shift: 4:00 pm - 2:30 am + Both shifts include a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks.
