Production Material Handler

Nesco Resource is seeking a Production Material Handler for our client in Garland.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Keep the production lines supplied with packaging materials (i.e. bottles, tubes, caps, shippers, etc.). This position requires collaboration with cross functional teams within the organization and a flexible work schedule to meet Company demands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

Keep lines supplied with correct packaging materials (i.e. bottles, tubes, caps, shippers, etc.) by pulling material from staging area with pallet jack and place at the production line.

Visually examine packaging material to verify proper artwork, compare to artwork verification form and record on artwork verification form.

Check that each pallet is properly stretch wrapped. If improper, re-stretch wrap pallet to correct.

Create label using the ERP system and print from computer.

Verify and apply proper label by hand to each finished goods pallet.

Remove finished goods from packaging lines by using pallet jack or forklift as needed and place in inventory staging area.

Count and correctly label unused packaging materials for restock.

Document by hand writing the count for each full and partial pallet in material handler log.

Return unused packaging materials with pallet jack at the end of each batch to the restock area.

Comply with Company SOPs and Policies.

Relieve Production Workers when needed or directed by supervisor.

Assist Lead Production Workers to gather finished product samples.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
