The Production Manager oversees all production and packaging operations of food products in the facility in accordance with food and safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Supervises all production staff in the facility to ensure all manufacturing runs reliably and efficiently; manages resources as appropriate to production needs
Hires, trains, and reviews performances of production employees
Foster team environment while mentoring junior leadership team members
Champion quality control and food safety standards
Ensures all production employees adhere to and practice the regulations and standards of food safety and personal safety
Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment
Enforce strict compliance to standard operating procedures
Demonstrates the knowledge of equipment and machines utilized for production in the facility; proven ability to drive production schedules while balancing food safety and facility safety standards
Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to enhance equipment efficiencies
Participates in audits, training, and meetings to implement corrective practices and maintain proper procedures
Identify and lead Continuous Improvement projects with production teams
Other duties as assigned
Must Have REQUIREMENTS
Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree or other related education preferred
2-3 yrs. applicable job experience
Experience in a leadership position, preferably in a production role
Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and operations
Experience and license working with a forklift preferred
Computer proficiency with MS Office
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking through production and warehouse areas
Occasional periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
Must be able to work near food ingredients, exposure to food allergens
Location: inside an air-conditioned manufacturing and warehouse environment
You must be able to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
You must be able to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
