Production Manager
Location: Tupelo, MS
Job Summary The Production Manager is accountable for the overall performance and management of specific product lines. This key leadership position reports directly to the General Manager and plays a crucial role in the administration and strategic direction of manufacturing operations.
Essential Job Functions
- Guides and leads production shift supervisors in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Directs and oversees the manufacturing processes to ensure optimal operation.
- Ensures that safety, quality, performance, and productivity goals are achieved within budgetary constraints.
- Coordinates staffing according to production schedules and customer demands.
- Oversees comprehensive employee training programs, promotes a safe work environment, and maintains strict discipline.
- Works closely with the maintenance department to manage equipment service and repairs.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives and leads activities to enhance efficiency.
- Ensures strict adherence to plant floor organization and cleanliness standards.
- Facilitates effective communication between production staff and the management team.

Education and Experience

- At least five years of management or leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Additional certifications or licenses (e.g., PHR, Professional Engineer) are advantageous.
