Position Summary
Lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements. Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met. Responsible for developing Manufacturing Technical and Production, including Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Manage the team on best practice and implement company policies and procedures. Lead and manage Engineers and Production team.
Responsibilities
Adhere to company policies, procedures
Maintain the highest standards for quality workmanship, Safety and Housekeeping
Identify business improvement and cost savings within the organization
Responsible for production NPI, meeting target delivery and efficiency
Participate to Sales meeting and customer visits as required
Manage Engineering team and provide project timeline with budgets
Review and approve Control Plan along with Quality representatives
Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations.
Ensure the target productivity level is achieved on a daily basis
Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis
Responsible for problem solution to the team and the operations
Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
Prepare the annual Manufacturing budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects, including evaluation of necessary equipment to ensure effective cost using ROI analysis
Review and manage Preventive Maintenance program effectively
Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holiday allowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity
Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical is required
8+ years experience in production management and with significant proven supervisory experience
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen, lean manufacturing
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
Proficient in MS Office and ERP system
Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
