Job Details

Supervise and manage production operations within a freeze-dried manufacturing setting, overseeing all facets of freeze-drying processes, including Sanitation, Warehouse, and Production.

This involves planning and coordinating tasks to ensure smooth employee relations and effective teamwork.

Identify and deploy cost-efficient and effective plant procedures through ongoing improvement initiatives.

Uphold our core values within the department and among team members by serving as a catalyst.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to Supervisors and team members to foster a positive work atmosphere.

Establish key performance metrics for the department, implementing visual controls, and delivering regular progress updates to Senior Management.

Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as GMP's, SQF, HACCP, Quality, Safety, and other applicable guidelines for a food processing facility.

Oversee the operation of dryer equipment, machinery, packaging machinery, and warehouse activities.

Collaborate with maintenance to ensure proper upkeep, repair, or replacement of production equipment and machinery to maintain seamless plant operations.

Train Supervisory team members on Lean and/or 5S methodologies and instill a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements/ideal skillsets:

Preferably possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a Food Manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in leadership, utilizing metrics and Key Performance Indicators to drive results through team members.

Ability to anticipate, plan, and execute action plans to achieve desired outcomes.

Skillful application of Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and similar techniques to balance and attain positive results in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.

Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, coupled with effective multitasking skills and meticulous attention to detail.
