Job Title: Production Manager

Position Type: Permanent role

We have 2 openings, one is for day shift and one is for night shift

night shift operations, which operate from 3 pm - 1:30 am Monday-Thursday.

day shift operations, which operate in normal standard shifts Monday-Friday.

As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple manufacturing production departments, including production output, quality, safety, materials, and department goals, and coaching and developing supervisors and the hourly workforce.

Primary Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Lead and manage teams, promoting a positive work environment focused on achieving business goals. Foster an environment of coaching, development, employee engagement, and teamwork and ensure expectations and results are communicated effectively.

Lead operational production planning to meet all shipment schedules. Develop and execute the agreed-upon staffing plan and allocate resources accordingly.

Manage an effective flow of communication between day shift and night shift to all levels of the organization, to ensure all leaders and personnel understand strategic goals and performance expectations.

Understand and drive the achievement of the client and Plant yearly business objectives, initiatives, and productivity, quality and delivery goals. Identify and implement projects or processes to achieve these goals.

Ensure a high level of focus on the client Brand Promise by monitoring areas of accountability for adherence to quality goals, reviewing plant and department-specific procedures, and partnering with the Customer Service team to modify as necessary.

Develop strong working relationships and a regular cadence of communication with cross-functional leaders at the plant, to ensure operational and strategic alignment. Partner as needed with other client Plants and Homebuilding Operations.

Demonstrate an active role in the plant safety program through conducting audits and ensuring leadership is monitoring all personnel for desired safety behaviors.

Ensure alignment between production areas and the plant maintenance department to ensure production areas are functioning at a high level and minimizing downtime.

Manage key controllable operating expenses and develop cost control plans. Drive process improvement, throughout the plant, which focuses on results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Participate in broader company initiatives, as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required (business degree preferred)

MBA preferred

7+ years of progressive leadership or management experience (manufacturing experience preferred)

Excellent problem-analysis, critical thinking, and strategic planning abilities

Experience communicating effectively with all levels of an organization

Outstanding collaboration and conflict management abilities

Strong commitment to Customer Service

Excellent reliability, with strong planning and organizational skills

Focus on driving improvements within the organization and ability to persuade and influence others

Ability to coach and develop others to achieve goals and grow

Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making, adapting and meeting deadlines

Ability to travel to other client plants and locations, as needed
