Machine Operator

JOB DETAILS: Base Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Shift Details: 1st Shift (8am-5pm) Monday through Friday DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate production machinery following prints and specifications. Machines may include Roll formers, Trim Brakes, Slitters, Coil Tippers, Snips, Lathes, Grinders, and similar equipment Manufacture the specified quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances Utilize precision tools to measure finished parts, ensuring compliance with functional, quality, and cosmetic requirements Keep records of produced units, including details of any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces Conduct equipment inspections before use to ensure proper setup and alignment; perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Complete any other assigned related duties Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: Proficient in following directions and working effectively in a team Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation Quick grasp of production equipment operation or aptitude for rapid learning Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Knowledge of and adherence to relevant OSHA and environmental regulations Competency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory Preferred, 2+ years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing On-the-job training completion may substitute for educational requirements Preferred, but willing to train the right candidate: Forklift Operation Physical Requirements: Extended periods of standing, tool use, and repetitive actions involving frequent bending and stooping Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist Visual acuity necessary for reading instructions, operating machinery, and inspecting produced parts Work Environment: This position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts with risk of injury and risk of electrical shock The noise level in the work environment is usually loud Additional information Site Address: 7900 Market Pl Las Cruces, NM 88007 Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?
