Nesco Resource is hiring a Product Quality Engineer for their client located in Wallingford CT
A DAY in the life of a Product Quality Engineer:
- Follow up customer and internal / supplier claims (until closed effectively)
- Ensure Develop the inspection of products and their processes of fabrication in accordance with established plans
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and problem-solving drills
- Ensure that all relevant Quality personnel have proper training and documented evidence that supports it. Could be either train inspectors directly or with external qualified support
- Participate in product and process audits
- Maintain inspection records, daily technical support and monitoring of inspection activities, including data collection
- Prepare necessary information packages to support Internal Quality Audits and follow-up of open/pending Corrective Actions
WHAT you have: - Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- 5+ years of Industrial Engineer or similar experience.
- To comply with ITAR, must be US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
WHAT Skills & Knowledge you bring: - AS9100 Aerospace, ability to monitor and control processes
- Management of project development deliverables quality
- Ability to Conduct Quality audit or diagnosis
- Ability to propose solutions to optimize processes, products and tools
- Skilled knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace Quality Standards
- Continuous improvement methods - Lean - Six sigma
- FMEA/Control Plan knowledge
- Internal Audit experience
- Root cause analysis methodology
- Demonstrated competency communicating with employees at various levels of operations regarding process and assessment requirements
