Job Description:

Work with Program Portfolio Management, Epic Owners to understand Agile Release Train (ART) Objectives and Program Epics

Defining and prioritizing the Program Backlog of Features

Develops and communicates the Program s Vision

Works with System/Enterprise Architects to understand necessary Architectural Work

Co-develops and communicates the Program Roadmap

Serves as the Content Authority for the ART

Develops and refines Feature Acceptance Criteria

Defines Releases and Program Increments (PI)

Participates with the Release Management team to govern Production Releases for one or more ARTs

Works with Teams Product Owners to optimize Feature Delivery for the PI

Attends regular Product Management Council (PMC) meetings to monitor work and refine Features

Validates the solution presented by the ART

Participates in all Program ART ceremonial meetings

Optionally attends Teams Sprint review or System Demo

SAFe Certification like SA or APO is preferred

7 + years experience as a delivery leader in program management; strong IT application development & leadership background. Strong business acumen in health care payor space

2-4 years Agile Project/Program Manager, or Agile product manager

Roles & Responsibilities Agile Program management:

Leads integrated (end to end) delivery planning and coordination for approved EDS solutions, which involves managing federated delivery by facilitating and aligning work across enterprise release trains and delivery organizations (US Commercial, Health Services, Government etc.). This focus is on work that has been prioritized and approved for delivery through lean portfolio management, in partnership with the Strategic planning lead, and setting proper expectations about delivery based on how integrated solutions need to hang together.

Manages interdependencies within the solution train(s), working with Scrum masters and release train engineers, and outside of the train, including platforms, shared services, value streams, etc.

Effectively integrates with other Value streams, Platform teams, Shared Services, etc. to accomplish business objectives

Encourages collaboration between System Architects and Solution Architects, Data domain leads, and Engineering leads.

Identify, manage, and mitigate risk for the train(s); Manages risks and dependencies that have been escalated to the EDS Solution Team, and escalates as necessary to address blockers, and drives decision analysis and recommendations for solution level issues.

Ensures a successful solution train alignment working with Business Delivery, Product Management, Solution Engineering and Solution Architecture partners and stakeholders.

Facilitates Pre and Post Program Increment (PI) Planning to coordinate and integrate the outcomes of PI planning across ARTs, and across affected platform teams, value streams, and/or shared services to ensure the right priorities are aligned for delivery

Aggregates program PI objectives into an overall aligned set of objectives/view and integrate with the strategic planning lead to demonstrate execution against the broader product roadmap

Enable the creation and maintenance of and document a multi-PI execution roadmap

In partnership with the strategic planning lead and with lean portfolio management, facilitates decision making regarding priorities, trade offs, including proposing what if scenarios for decision by leaders when competing priorities exist, based on what is currently slated on the roadmap(s) for execution

Reports aggregate status and supports activities related to Lean Portfolio Management such as intake, change management, communications, etc. and how these are integrated into the PI s for execution, based on the priorities set forth by the strategic planning lead.

Ability to capture, dissect, and understand the work inside other portfolios and how that affects the roadmap, negotiating with areas in how work will sequence in priority order based on the change profile for a given targeted business area manage a roadmap that is interdependent with those other portfolio/ program managers, and make recommendations to leaders (both business & IT) on how those dependencies affect delivery
