Summary

Come join the Client Go To Market Technology team as a Product Manager (Contract) for our Incentive Compensation platform focused on partner-based compensation plans. At the center of every great company are great systems and processes. This product manager will focus on innovating on the platforms that our global sales organization uses to motivate sellers as effectively as possible to drive business growth.


In this role you will support a product focused on the global sales organization with the opportunity to drive transformation and innovation. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering new technology and experiences at scale in a platform and services-oriented architecture. In addition, this person must have a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, including technologists, product managers, engineers, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Handles many of the oversight duties involved in getting a product from the concept stage to the production stage; work to maximize product by foreseeing customer and market demands.
  • Define and document product requirements and roadmaps for execution.
  • Write user stories as part of an Agile project framework which include clear acceptance criteria and consider dependencies on other stories and/or initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for every stage of product development to deliver technology at scale to support these experiences.
  • Prioritize cross-functional needs to revamp legacy technology through clear product roadmaps.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and the development/implementation teams.
  • Formulate and execute metrics that move the needle for our internal teams to be more productive, spending less time on administrative tasks and more time selling.
  • Contribute to improved agile processes that constantly seek to provide predictability of outcomes, set appropriate expectations on timing and scope delivery, and increase development team velocity.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, analyze data from numerous inputs, and provide guidance to partnering teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify dependencies on enabling capabilities (Billing, Product, Sales Technology) for various Incentive Compensation models (i.e. Wholesale, Revenue Share etc )
  • Act as primary point of contact for product management for escalations and work with internal teams to identify fixes.

Needed Skills

  • 5+ years designing and delivering world-class software platforms in a product management, technology delivery, or architecture role.
  • Understanding of and experience working with incentive compensation and sales technology
  • Good understanding of incentive compensation management platforms - experience with Varicent or SAP Callidus/Commission preferred.
  • Basic understanding of the platform enabling sales teams and the CRM capabilities they depend on is a plus.
  • A self-motivated person who can influence and drive cross-functional, cross-go teams, promoting timely and effective communication.
  • Experience with Agile development and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work well with internal technical teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations. Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
  • Deep experience writing product requirements, user stories, and defining success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
  • Ability to develop and execute a successful product roadmap.
  • A strong sense of urgency to help customers through the ability to identify insights and deliver a quality, innovative experience quickly.
  • Ability to build relationships/ credibility through knowledge and results; well-honed influencing and negotiating skills; ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences 'Can do' attitude with an entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast paced, unstructured environment.
  • An undergraduate degree required in science, technology, or business disciplines (equivalent professional experience will be considered); MBA preferred.
