Harmar has an immediate opening for a Product Line Manager to oversee mobility device lifts and accessibility products. Responsibilities include managing product portfolios, ensuring customer satisfaction, leading product development projects, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ensuring customer satisfaction related to product quality and performance.


  • Proposal, prioritization and management of key product development and feature improvement projects
  • Definition of product specification/features throughout the product lifecycle
  • Analysis of competitive prices and Harmar pricing objectives by item
  • Developing product content for Marketing Communications
  • Supporting key channel development and enhancement initiatives through the sales and service teams.
  • Continually learn and share extensive knowledge of Harmar and competitive products, channels and customers.
  • Collect, create and conceptualize new products and/or programs that will have a significant impact on Harmar's growth strategy. Manage these through the Idea Bank.
  • Collect and analyze monthly KPI's into a Product Performance Dashboard that will reveal opportunities and/or threats affecting the profitability of the product line and initiate corrective action projects through the appropriate teams.
  • Work with Quality and the Operations Team to prioritize corrective action issues arising from customer complaints related to product performance.
  • Prepare and analyze a quarterly report to capture the health of the product lines related to warranty, customer satisfaction, market share, pricing and cost.
  • Support the SI&OP process with medium to long range product line forecasts, by unit, by channel and net average price.
  • Develop research-based business plans for every NPD project to serve as a baseline for the project team. This includes the Product Charter, Customer Requirements and Business Plan.
  • Champion the NPD Commercialization Phase during pilot production to launch new products and collect appropriate customer input / feedback.
  • Perform or design Market Research projects that include surveys, interviews, focus groups, internal/external data analysis and managing third party vendors.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements and competitive developments and ensure all products satisfy customer requirements.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years related work experience in product management, sales/marketing or product development.
  • Industry experience marketing to and through distributors/multiple channels
  • Experience working with HME/DME, consumer durable goods, automotive accessories, capital equipment or related fields in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading or working on NPD teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or Engineering
