We are seeking a creative and solutions-oriented Product Development Technician to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, construct and assemble prototypes & pre-production samples and manage testing and troubleshooting

Propose solutions to maintain and improve manufacturability, reliability and quality of EarthCam products

Use computer aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD to review and modify concept drawings

Collaborate with Engineering, R&D and Manufacturing teams to provide valuable feedback, drive innovation and promote continuous improvement

Develop test plans and define parameters to ensure all hardware & software components meet design specifications

Determine the materials needed for each prototype, such as wood, plastic, metal, or other materials

Develop CAD models and create custom components using 3D Printing tools

Debug and refurbish defective items for root-cause analysis studies and re-use

Participate in daily standups and report on project status

Qualifications

3 Year Advanced Technical Diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Functional expertize in testing and troubleshooting electronic products

Knowledge of prototyping, 3D printing and metal/plastic fabrication techniques

Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software
