A well-established Biotech company in the Albany, NY area is looking for a Procurement Operations Associate to join their team. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to start your career in the Supply Chain field. This would be a 12-month contract with the potential for extension or permanent hire.
Role Details:
- 100% Onsite
- $27.50-$35.00/hr (dependent on experience)
- Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
The Procurement Operations Analyst is responsible for managing the procurement workflow process for the requisitions of goods, supplies, and services within assigned business units.Daily Responsibilities: - Proactively determine objectives/needs for purchase requisitions and ensure required documentation is incorporated
- Manage approved purchase requisitions, create purchase orders in a timely manner while communicating with sourcing team
- Manage pricing discrepancies on invoice resolution with Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate closure of outstanding invoices
- Annually manage the blanket purchase order creation process by analyzing spend at year-end
- Submit new supplier and edit requests for non-contracted/non-category managed suppliers
- Support purchase orders that are subject to contract policy
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in related field
- Ability to pick up on new software applications
