Corelight is seeking our first Procurement Manager to build and scale the function with a "user first" mindset. This role will drive procurement excellence with digitization and process transformation to make it easy for employees to get the goods and services they need to be productive while improving visibility and control for the Finance Team. You'll oversee the entire intake-to-procure process including managing RFx events. You'll design and manage procurement policy and process with a focus on optimizing spend, reducing risk and improving operational efficiency.

Our ideal candidate is someone who has successfully built a procurement function from zero before and has a template for success in regards to starting and scaling key areas including business planning and strategic sourcing, logic and condition-driven intake/requesting, contract and vendor management, and continuous improvement. This role will interface heavily with cross-functional groups across the organization and must be comfortable negotiating internally and working for buy-in up to the executive level while navigating strong personalities.

This role is a mix of tactical and strategic work. You must be comfortable dealing with the day to day at a fast pace, but also prioritize major changes that will move Corelight along our procurement maturity curve in a meaningful way.

Responsible for:

People

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and logistics, and compliance teams to align procurement activities with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders leveraging business planning to understand their requirements and guide them through the procurement process.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements.
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and fostering collaboration to drive continuous improvement.

Process

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to receipt of goods or services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review purchase requisitions and create purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Monitor and control procurement costs to optimize spending and achieve budgetary targets.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities for cost savings through supplier consolidation, negotiation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Track and report on key procurement metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels, to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on factors such as price, quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities.

Technology/Programs

  • Establish and improve systems to encompass the intake to procure process with a focus on user adoption and thoughtful orchestration of each workflow stage.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and company policies governing procurement activities.
  • Familiarity with TPRM and GRC program standards to conduct risk assessments of suppliers and supply chain processes resulting in proactive risk mitigation.
  • Implement measures to enhance procurement security, such as supplier diversity initiatives and supply chain transparency efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
