Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Procurement Category Leader - Electric and Electronics Distributors in Boston, MA.

Job Description: Manage given suppliers' relationship and key performance matrix (quality, delivery, productivity), with ARROW as main supplier. Contribute to Global Commodity Strategy in terms of SOC evolution, supplier reduction and supplier concentration. Participate in the distribution's transformation plan (digital, market intelligence, traceability programs). Support G9 Distribution GCM to manage the performance for NAM's region. Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives. Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices. Formulate policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and services. Eligible for 100% remote work, reporting to management in Boston, MA. Position requires 40% domestic travel to Nashville, TN and global distributor sites to align and review business and performance.

Requirements: Position requires Bachelor's or Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field and progressive, post-Bachelor's experience (3 years with Master's or 5 years with Bachelor's) in procurement or sourcing management, purchasing, commodity logistics, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Analyzing and interpreting spends data and requirements; Managing distributors for purchasing of commodities; Building business strategies and presenting them to key stakeholders; Defining and implementing purchasing category strategy in NAM geographic zone; Tracking purchasing performance and managing suppliers (directly, through operational buyers and S3L); Managing global negotiations with a diverse global supplier portfolio; Implementing productivity improvement (QVE -Quality value Engineering/CoS - Change of Suppliers); Identifying new savings opportunities within strategic supply chain; and Purchasing for semiconductors and passives supply chain in the NAM distribution area.
