Process Safety Engineer
Location: Elgin, IL
Base Salary: $100,000 to $120,000
Your Role:
- As a Process Safety Engineer, you'll help ensure safety standards are met across multiple sites within our company's North America Region. This includes making sure we comply with safety regulations, leading hazard analyses, investigating incidents, and providing technical support for safety processes. You'll also help train and mentor other employees to improve safety practices.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of safety standards like OSHA PSM and EPA RMP.
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering or a related field.
- This is an in-office role with 50% travel required.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a chemical environment.
- Familiarity with safety standards like NFPA, ASTM, and API.
- Ability to work independently and with teams at multiple facilities.
- Experience with combustible dust or gas-fired equipment.
Candidate Details:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
