Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for a Process/Manufacturing Engineer position with a Global Electronics Manufacturing Company located in the Bradenton, FL area.

Duties Include:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain programming for SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens.
- Program SMT equipment based on product specifications, assembly requirements, and production schedules.
- Ensure that SMT programming meets quality standards, cycle time targets, and efficiency goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes related to SMT assembly through data analysis, experimentation, and process validation.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements, streamline workflows, and minimize cycle times.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of process performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to develop and implement robust quality control measures for SMT assembly processes.
- Perform root cause analysis for SMT-related defects or issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of SMT equipment.
- Develop and maintain documentation for equipment maintenance procedures and calibration records.
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field; Master s degree preferred.
- Strong experience in programming and operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for PCB design and assembly.
- In-depth understanding of SMT assembly processes, equipment capabilities, and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to SMT equipment programming and operation.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and methodologies for process optimization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, IPC standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Certification in SMT equipment operation and programming.
- Experience with automated optical inspection (AOI) systems and other inspection techniques for SMT assemblies.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and concepts, such as machine learning, IoT, and digital twins applied to manufacturing.
- Project management experience, including planning, execution, and resource management for process improvement projects.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to electronic manufacturing, such as RoHS and REACH directives.
